Home Studio

The home studio has been a labor of love. My partner and I converted a part of our home that used to be an efficiency apartment into our ceramics studio (Yes. They are a potter too.) More accurately, we’re still converting it. Our studio sink has yet to be hooked up and we’re still making adjustments to the set-up to find what works best for us. BUT it’s functional and you hardly notice the lack of running water if you turn the music up loud enough.

We fired for the first time in August of 2022, which honestly feels like so long ago now. We’re still playing with clay bodies and glazes and seeing what we can get away with in our electric kiln. I’m personally just trying to push my boundaries and try new things. I’m still discovering myself in this space. However, if life has taught me anything, I’ll likely be able to say that for my entire life. I may not make any specific “kind” of work for very long. Mostly because I’m playing with different styles to see what sticks, but also because I have ADHD, and I’ve learned to just follow the dopamine. You’ll be seeing random experiments alongside the coffee mugs, tea sets, alter dishes, and tarot tiles.
